1. General Information

By booking a tour with Gold Waves Benagil, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Booking & Cancellations

  • Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the tour.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled tour are non-refundable.

  • In case of adverse weather or sea conditions, we will contact you to reschedule or refund.

3. Physical Condition & Health Restrictions

This activity requires a basic level of physical fitness for paddling.

  • People with morbid obesity and no previous kayaking experience may not be suited to complete the full 2-hour tour.

  • People with chronic back pain, limited mobility, or important health issues should contact us before booking.

  • Pregnant women may participate only up to 4 months of pregnancy.

  • Swimming is not required, as life jackets are provided and the guide accompanies you throughout the tour.

4. Meeting Point & Punctuality

The meeting point is in front of O Pescador restaurant, next to Secret Algarve’s office in Benagil.
Arriving at least 30 minutes early is essential for receiving your equipment and attending the safety briefing. This ensures a quality experience and helps avoid delaying the group.
If you arrive late and miss the safety briefing or equipment handout, you may lose the tour without refund. In exceptional cases, a reschedule may be offered depending on availability.

5. Personal Belongings

  • You will be instructed on how to properly store your belongings in the dry bag.

  • Any items taken on the tour (phone, camera, glasses, etc.) are your full responsibility.

  • Gold Waves is only responsible for items left at the office before the tour.

6. Safety

  • We provide all necessary gear: life jackets, paddles, and dry bags.

  • A mandatory safety briefing is given before the tour starts.

  • It is forbidden to separate from the group. Guides must have all participants in sight at all times for safety and legal reasons.

  • If you feel unwell during the tour, inform your guide immediately.

7. Legal Responsibility

Gold Waves has liability insurance to cover accidents during the activity. However, it is essential and mandatory to follow the guide’s instructions at all times, as they are trained to interpret sea conditions.
